The art has an almost Paul Pope feel and the themes feel like something Grant Morrison would explore... so it’s interesting seeing this as fan-fiction. It also seemed appropriate to run so soon after DC released the Necessary Evil documentary. This may not be for everyone... it may not be how you want to see Batman or Joker or even Alfred, but there is a lot of hard work in these pages and there is talent. And it is free.
